Biographical Sketch


Ehab Farouk Badran received the B.Sc. degree with honors, the top of the class, and M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Assiut university, Assiut, Egypt, in May 1995 and March 1998, respectively, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU), Baton Rouge, USA, in May 2001 and May 2002, respectively. From 1995 to 1998, he was an instructor with the department of electrical engineering, Assiut university, where in May 1998, he was promoted to assistant lecturer. From January 2000 to May 2002, he was a teaching and research assistant with the department of electrical and computer engineering, Louisiana State University during his Ph.D. studies. From September 2002 to August 2003, he was an assistant professor with the department of electrical engineering, Assiut University. From September 2003 to May 2007, he worked as an assistant professor in the department of electronics and communication engineering, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alexandria, Egypt. From June 2007 to May 2011, he was an associate professor in the same department. In June 2011, he was promoted to be a professor. His research and teaching interests are in wireless communications, signal processing, MIMO systems, and image processing. Prof. Dr. Ehab Farouk Badran was the vice dean of college of engineering and technology for educational affairs from 12 January 2012 until 14 March 2014. He is the vice dean of college of engineering and technology for educational affairs from 15 March 2020 until now.
