COURSE AIM
The technical and managerial aspects of telecommunications and data networks as they apply to the business environment are discussed. Issues include: communications components and services, network architectures, network protocols, telephony, and security.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
  • Understanding different types of networks and how they are used by businesses
  • Understanding how networks function
  • Becoming familiar with the Internet protocols
  • Learning about threats to networks and how networks are protected from such threats
  • Describing the relation between Telephony and Data networks and how they are integrated.
